After arriving at NJP guests are transfers to Gangtok via Sevoke road on the way they can enjoy the beautiful views of mountain ranges and much more. After check –in at hotel guest can visit the nearby places and try some local food at their own.
Overnight stay at Gangtok
After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 km one way from Gangtok city , lake remain frozen during the winter season and also consider as a sacred lake. Lake surfaces also reflect the diff. color with changes of season. Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir is a Memorial & temple honoring Indian army soldier, folk hero & saint Baba Harbhajan Singh.
(Optional: Nathula pass depends upon permit availability on additional cost (Monday pass is closed)
(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsangu Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing).
Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast check out from hotel, drive to Lachen. It is a 107km long drive which should take 5-6 hours to complete. Chungthang where we will stop for lunch. We cover the rest of the journey to Lachen. The main attractions of Lachen are the snow-capped peaks, Shingbha Wildlife Sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley and Thangu. We then check into the hotel, have some tea and then visit the Lepcha Village.
Overnight stay in Lachen
Lachen is a small village surrounded by Green Mountain with the average elevation of 2750m.
Early morning, drive towards Gurudongmar Lake (17,000ft). Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest situated lakes and sacred lake in North Sikkim. The altitude here may cause breathing problem so be careful. While returning visit Chopta Valley. Later proceed for Lachung
Overnight Stay at Lachung
Lachung is a small mountain village close to Tibetan border with the average elevation of 2700m.
After breakfast leave for Yumthang 26 km (1hrs )- Yumthang valley is located in elevation of 11800 feet with the river Lachung flowing through the valley are also a best place to visit - Lachung is famous for snow covered or the blooming Rhododendron - On the way from Yumthang visit the famous hot spring known for its medicinal curative properties – Lunch at Lachung hotel .
After lunch transfer to Gangtok . On arrival check into hotel.
